Why don't links from Campy open directly in the app?

If you have subscribed to our newsletter or are a new Campy member, you will likely have received a few emails with us with links to newly created 'Trips' or specific Campy features and functions.


Unfortunately, some mailboxes or default browser settings don’t support the links we send and redirect to our website instead of the app😕


In order to open the link directly in the Campy, you may then need to change your browser settings, or copy the link from the email and paste it into your phone's search browser. Below you will find solution options for both Android and Apple (iOS) devices.


Android solution:

  1. Open the app Settings on your phone.
  2. Tap Apps.
  3. Tap Campy. If you can't find the app, tap View all apps. Then select the app.
  4. Tap Standard open or Set as default (the option you’ll see depends on the device you have).
  5. Tap Open supported links.
  6. And then Allow app to open supported links.

Apple solution on an iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and tap Apps.
  3. Tap Default Apps at the top of the app list.
  4. Tap Browser App.
  5. Select an alternative browser you want to use as your default from the list (Safari often works).
